The transparent GIF I made is full of random gomi. Sorry, but I don't know why the logo looks so rough (obviously I don't how to do create a transparent GIF correctly). You better pull that botched GIF.

my graphical skillz are on a par with those of 3-day old road kill so I wasn't going to complain.

On the todo list for today is to rearrange the theme to integrate the old logo and use the more distinctive "FG" shade of blue.

As a temporary fix, try this logo which is a transparent GIF (60x60 px, 1.4KB) with plain white lettering. (Sorry there is no blue fade in the lettering since I don't have any way to test this image here at work.)

I think that the Photoshop ap for the iPad manipulates images in JPEG, which is big no-no since each filter or charge multiplies the JPEG artefacts (iPad does not use the RAW format or any kind of lossless format and PhotoShop for iPad doesn't use the lossless .psd format).

However, the "...since 2002" tagline is good and very Japanesque. The FG could use make dozens of "...since 2002" logos and rotate them randomly. For example...

The traditional tagline is another good one: 'end of the line for foreigners in Japan'.

The goats part was in response to IPU's request, I didn't expect it to be used.

The header color doesn't match the banner I made but that can be adjusted. If Taro wants to use a black colored skin for the forum no changes need to be made. I like the "nail that sticks up" idea. I'll do a few more.

We need a rectangular banner that's 400-700px wide and 100px high; one version that is a transparent GIF and another that is a solid GIF or PNG (ideally less than 30KB).

Also needed is a square or square-ish logo, 150px x 150px, 150px x 100px; using transparent GIF and solid GIF or PNG format (ideally less than 20KB).

Personally, I think this old logo variation by Ultra is good because in Japanese offices it obfuscates the meaning for Japanese coworkers.
