Has been done already...

Torygraph wrote:"We hope we have been able to provide information for doctors when they are next confronted with the simple question of 'why some belly buttons collect so much lint and others do not'."

Fascinating. I will certainly be asking my doctor that question to see if he's been keeping up with the latest research.

Torygraph wrote:An earlier, Australian study of samples from 5,000 people concluded the typical carrier of navel fluff to be 'a slightly overweight middle-aged male with a hairy abdomen'.

Hmm, I almost fall into that category, but like I said, not much navel lint recently. Mind you I'm not Australian.

Note the blaze-orange colored belly-button lint

Amateurs! I can fill all three of those bottles---twice over---in one year.

(Did anyone else notice that the bottles from Mr. "Navel Fluff" show he was wearing a blaze orange prison uniform from late 1994 to 2000 and then again for 2002?)

The top of my head is not a good place for figures in the early morning - that should be 25,000 tonnes annually, which to put into perspective is approximately the same as Rwanda's fish production target for 2013.

I am still a throwback from the 90's and have kept my belly ring. No lint catches in there because of that.

Speaking of belly rings, when I was pregnant, I changed it to a teflon one with different jewels dangling off it - used to freak out my Ob-Gyn all the time. It is amazing the stretch that happens in your belly button when you have a massive baby in there. But it has gone back to normal size now.

I should really take it out - but I am holding onto my youth for dear life.

You are Joking right ?

The lowest bill we got in the clinic was 80 000 yens with often between 100 000 to 120 000. The flat in Navoya was closer to 75 000 but with the meter maxed out...

'Titicaca' is pronounced Titty Caca (おっぱい うんち)

Speaking of fish production targets, did you know that Lake Titicaca's endangered aquatic scrotum frog, the Telmotobius Culeus (Latin for aquatic scrotum), is suffering a grave decline in their population, down from a estimated 1 billion toads in the 1970s.*

I did indeed not know that, but I'll file it away for future reference - it's these kind of factoids which underpin my reputation as a witty raconteur and all-round star of the party.

We need something like that in our Deep North.

But seriously, why don't you just load it in your car and bring it to the garbage disposal site bit by bit without asking her? So you can free up rooms one by one.

Most of the equipment is at 2nd or 3rd floor, in the 80 to 300kg range... no elevator... some can be taken appart, but need cutting torches...

BTW, you don't have an old dentist drill lying around in that hospital somewhere? It would be an excellent tool for your RC models.

Got some harvested from mah dentist...

Do you also have that urgent need to punch them when you cross their way ?

Because I sure as hell do...

Best is when you see them at the combini outside their working hours with a slut in tow both in sport-ish pajamas with matching hello kitty slippers. The slut usually without makeup nor eyebrows... I wish I could capture them to sell to pharmacy companies for animal testing...

Yes and I am a non-violent person normally. There is just something about them that makes me want to snap off their over processed and starched hair at the follicles or at the very least, chase them with an open flame.

Leave 'em alone! They're young and enjoying it....let them do it now and look back decades hence and cringe (like I do when I see photos from the '70s with long, flowing looks, shark tooth earring, woolen cardy and uggies, thinking I was the epitome of coolness. At least I didn't wear treads...).

How big was your flat and were what the hell were you using it for?

The highest electric bill I've ever had was about 12,000 yen and that was in the middle of summer in an apartment with a big wrap around window and two AC units. The place was about 40 sq meters. In every other placed I've lived I generally pay about 6,000 yen a month in winter or summer and 4,000 in spring or fall and I run my dryer 2 - 4 times a week.
