This question is deadly serious

Postby Yosh » Wed Nov 14, 2012 3:02 am

I only own two pairs of jeans

but they both have holes in them

The guy at the dry cleaners said itll cost ten bucks to patch them each

It's either that or buy new jeans at 30$ + each

I want to get my jeans patched

but I'm worried I'll look like a DORK

what do you think?

Mate, don't patch 'em...those holes are the places you insert your legs to wear the jeans.

Funny, I might. But kindly refrain from making quips about the mother of my child.

It wasn't a joke. I think everyone here is holding back from saying what they're really thinking about your situation.

Have you thought about moving either someplace else in Canada or to a third country altogether? Unless your wife and family can support themselves while you pursue language studies full-time, you won't be proficient in a year.

If you cannot figure out the answer to your question, then it may not be a good idea for you to live in a foreign country...

Yeah we've thought about Vancouver but I haven't been able to land a secure gig there. In Japan we wont have anything to worry about cash wise, like I mentioned elsewhere the condo is waiting for us and I can continue to do my job from a remote station, so I can still make hot canadian dollars and work lazy canadian hours

Not kept (except in the sense of a zookeeper taking care of an animal), but I can still relate to months being too long for my allowance...

unless that is a weird Canadian term... CAD:JPY is shit FYI.

and CST is right... quite sure everyone is holding back and being semi-polite.

You also said that you are not as fucked as anyone here... well... I am quite fucked at the moment, but I feel better now cause I can picture another thread somewhat like the one I did... but even more fucked.

Best of luck dude... I am quite sure you will need it. and if not, I will drink a bottle of JD for you.

Do any of you guys really trust any insurance here? From the horror stories I've heard about claims on real estate, vehicles, etc. and the "gaman shite" health insurance issues I've had the past few years, I'd feel safer stockpiling $$ in foreign bank accounts than paying a Japanese insurance company.
