Japan gives up and opens its doors?

Japan Quietly Opens Its Doors to Chinese Workers
NYTimes.com | 2012/11/14
...
Japan is opening its arms to Chinese immigrants as never before, relying on Chinese workers to fill jobs once reserved for locals, especially in the service sector. No one in Tokyo seems surprised anymore to hear a Chinese accent or see a Chinese name on the name tags of waiters or convenience-store clerks.
Among Japan’s small foreign population, there are now more Chinese — 674,879 as of last year, according to Japanese government data — than people from any other country. That’s about 10 times as many Chinese as were here in 1984...
...
If Japanese customers are now willing to accept more foreigners working for retailers and in restaurants, why not in other service roles, like nursing and elderly care?
A Japanese journalist friend argues that Japan has been able to allow more foreigners in because it hasn’t openly debated its immigration policy. A frank discussion would only awaken immigration’s opponents, he says.

Preparing to become the Chinese vassal state....

...Japanese should be nice to the convenience store worker they treat with scorn now. Who knows what fate holds.

I think I said awhile ago that Japan will end up like a lot of SE Asian nations. The natives will be in charge of politics and state-run enterprises while a small but extremely wealthy Chinese minority will run private industry ... and whenever the shit hits the fan the Chinese will be blamed.

Does the rising of China include a potential failure of the 3 gorges dam and the USA becoming a major oil producer ?
Or the potential problems coming from the insane gap between have and have not ?
Because in the US have/have not it sounds more like Lexus versus beat up Toyota Camry.
In China it seems more like Mercedes Benz versus tap water.

People with nothing tend to react much more violently than those who worry aboot the price of the fuel and the time to pick up kids from school...

Couldn't resist re-quoting this line:

Back in the early 2000s, one senior Japanese airline executive told me that Japanese airlines would never join international alliances because Japanese customers had special service needs and didn’t feel comfortable being served by foreign flight attendants.

It says so much in just one sentence.

You have take Facebook for what it is: Social Networking. Just go and have fun with it. Use the phone/email for friends, Facebook for acquaintances and keeping up with shallow bullshit in your communities.

Facebook is troublesome even if you don't post picture of you making a nukular bomb in your basement...

I loved it the day they started sending popup "your reply don't add anything worthy to the conversation, try to answer on topic"

The day of "You have been reported as not using your real identity, you have to provide a copy of an identifacation document to maintain this account" was the day i erased my account...

a picture of a burning poppy is enough to get you into real trouble, at least in the FCUK.

I wonder if there's a mod like that for phpBB... on second thoughts maybe not, it would kill pretty much every thread...

For keeping up with the bullshit in my community, I just have to lend my ear to my wife, who always provides me with the latest gossips...

Something Bayesian would be great. Posts devoid of content could count as partial posts, and we could set blocking filters based on score.

For example, from time to time Coligny posts good material, so if was to add him to my foe list, I'd miss out on those gems. Automatically blocking the other 90% of his posts would be a godsend. :)

What's missing is a facebook like function to 'block' some users from the ability to read your post... It would solve the problem altogether... And would force CST to find another pair of balls to hang to.

That was the point of the filtering system. It would require spamsters like yourself to post actual content. If you want to keep your nutso messages private, send them as PMs instead of polluting the public space.

God I love self righteous cunts like you. Can be found near the exit door of every church where mass is done in Latin. Always know better what people should do or say "for their own good" no matter how little intel they have on the situation. Rewriting dictionnaries (spam, strawman, creativity, look them up, you bastardize words in a way that i've seen done by japanese and inbred only up to now) and calling the others clueless, but hey, can't be wrong he's a wikipedia mod. Sorry not to do what you want me to do, or say what you want me to say. Go back wanking to your idol book of the 3 rd Reich (SS48 !?) and learn to suck on your own dick for fun and profit (hint, you might ask for tips from another glorious contributor) leave mine alone...
