Non-suicidal bridge jumper dies anyway

I saw this story on the news earlier this month and for some reason just remembered it.

An 18-year-old high schooler has died in the city of Hiroshima after jumping off the Hiroshima Hatsukaiichi Ohashi bridge into Hiroshima Bay with another boy to impress his friends, police said Thursday.

Hironori Ishihara was pronounced dead early Thursday shortly after being found below the 27-meter-high, 835-meter-long bridge.

I guess the gene pool is a little stronger now but you've got to feel bad for the kid's parents.

There is a way that US Navy SEALs and others do this but I can't for the life of me remember the name for it and/or find a video. They do it from helicopters from way up into the ocean. Not a movie thing either a real thing, you basically pucker the heck up back there, tuck your arms straight and hands and all stretched tight to the sides, legs and feet too. And you hit straight or you die. But guessing some high school kid didn't have the training a SEAL did and was probably just being stupid lol.
