Do you know the number of wet panies triggered by Sylar worldwide ?

My sister went to see Margin Call because of him... A movie without any explosion or aircraft carrier... (Her criterias are as basic as mine for normal movies...)

Airport art! Local airports in Japan having fun with baggage carousel
RocketNews24 | 2013/08/19
Is that a giant eyeball in your luggage or are you just happy to see me?
Actually, it’s neither! What you’re looking at up there–and what’s staring back at you–is an art piece that rides the baggage carousel at a local airport in Tottori Prefecture Airport...the airport lets Medama no Oyaji ride around to his tiny heart’s content to cheer up impatient passengers...more...

The label says "I'm watching y00 sucka's"

really the perfect time for such mascot...

At London airport they just put Chav's on the carousel getting shitfaced drunk, humping a chavette or punching people and stealing their wallet since the luggages are usually lost or heading for Cuba... The sign says "Welcome to England, beware it get worse from here"

Saw this little number on a barn during my walk today. First time I've seen a religious (western) sign here, but a Google search shows that this phrase, along with a few others (probably from the bible) can be found throughout Japan.
It roughly translates as "God's (divine) judgement (justice) comes suddenly - Christ (Christianity)".
Disclaimer - I am not religious (quite the opposite in fact...)

These kind of signs, usually with the same colour scheme, are everywhere in the countryside. Ages ago, I saw something online about who funds it all: if I find it again I will edit in a link. One thing is for certain, they are mostly encouraging faith through fear, which does not seem like a very effective method to me if you are trying to convert heathens.
Editted to add Link and has a FG connection, as one of the founding members of Seisho Haifu Kyoryokukai of Miyagi prefecture was a naturalised American Paul Broman.

Those who paid more attention in Sunday School than I did will be able to tell me: does this not sound like the vengeful Old Testament God, smiting Sodomites and all, rather than the Loving Father of the New Testament? Does this match a Christ quote? I shall consult Google.
Editted to add: after wading through Rapture predictions, I think this might be trying to relate to 1 Thess 5.3, which makes it a Paul quote rather than a Christ quote, but anyway.

Not sure about the exact quote but people who think the New Testament is all warm fuzzy hippy shit weren't really paying attention.

Guilty as charged. I was just there for the songs and to dress up as a shepherd at the end of the year. My total lack of faith is proof of that.

I'm soooo glad my parents never dragged me through that shit...I say as I ponder whether to register to become an obosan and help out. Maybe I should start a campaign like above, only with messages like "You won't find happiness in a schoolgirls underwear but with the recent new half trend, you might find a penis -Buddha"

Personally I am glad that I was exposed to it, both from a cultural general knowledge aspect, and because most of the people I know who went off the rails and discovered Jesus Christ their Lord and Saviour later in life did so in part because they hadn't been inoculated to it all in early childhood. There was never any expectation on the part of my parents that we would become believers or anything silly like that. We all stopped going once we gained congregational membership, and when the last of us "graduated" Mum stopped going too.

It's the miserable cunts who stand around Tokyo at New Year with their depressing signs and droning sermons who irk me.

Incredibly, those guys even appear up here amongst the rice paddies from time to time. There's usually one with a loudspeaker at an intersection up in Sendai too. Doom and gloom ... definitely not the the Christianity I remember from my youth. My interpretation is that it's a special flavour of Christianity that has been specifically designed to suit the Japanese mind. Sorta like pizza with corn.

Basically the message is: you either believe in Christ or you're fucked, doomed to eternal suffering.

Oh shit ... I think I may have stumbled on the reality of FG.com ... online purgatory ...
