Actually, it comes from another non-German....Mozart and his letters to his teenage cousin in which he expresses his erotic desires, one of which was to shear shit all over her. Not YouTube, but here's a video that popped up on Yahoo of a comedian(?) duo, with the follically challenged half talking about how balding Japanese guys are popular with foreign women. He tells his buddy that he went to Roppongi the other day, and all the gaijin-san women were complimenting him on his bald pate, saying, "Sekushi", and "Naisu gai", etc.
In Japan, baldness is seen as a negative point, but overseas it viewed as sexy... (Bruce Willis's name was mentioned).
However, in Japan, it's lumped in with the three negatives - chibi (little squirt), debu (fatty), and hage (baldy).

I often wondered about why there are so many hair commercials. I don't watch a heck of a lot of t.v. but its hard to miss when every other commercial is about some guy having plugs put in... (And seemingly orgasmic about it) OR for the younger crowd some new shampooing devise to give your hair a tensile strength of six tons.
