First Japan needs to take back their language, and now they'll need to expel all the foreigners... 8O

"The expanding Chinese market has become a meeting point for Chinese businesspeople who run their firms around the world, establishing a loose network of Chinese businesses that has benefited both China and their current home countries, including the United States and Southeast Asian nations, in the past decades," he said.

Do I smell a Chinese conspiracy to rule the world? 8O

Actually, the Yokohama CHinatown area is pretty interesting. And I'm amazed by how the Chinese ethnic communities in the US and Southeast Asia are so successful, despite all discrimination against them.

I can speak from experience on the U.S. West Coast (California Bay Area): for successful ethnic Chinese, there's about 0 discrimination from peers. One of things I miss most about home is that you're judged on what you can produce, not what you are.

The Chinese, like other racial minorities, have suffered a history of discrimination in the United States. I'm from the West Coast, too (SoCal), and I think I know what you're getting at, but unless you're Chinese I would hesitate to try and quantify how much discrimination the Chinese in the US are experiencing now.
