Tsutaya Breakin' the Law

I guess I'm one of the few people who still rents DVDs. I'm a Tsutaya Discas member and have them delivered by snail mail. One thing I've noticed is that pretty much all the DVDs have the warning at the beginning that this DVD is for home use only and not intended for rental, public showing, etc. I guess Tsutaya just don't give a fuck and no one else does either.

This, or the studio are too fucking lazy to come up with a different master copy for rental.
I've seen geo selling old rental copies of some movies in their bargain bins. Which seems to be extra grey area...

My guess is that's what it really is. Maybe not laziness though. It's probably just not worth the additional cost anymore no matter how negligible it is.
