AK, I'd like to nominate those two chuckleheads as "J-folk most likely to contract AIDS."

At least the dude who works at Condomania, Naoki Kojima, has his head on straight:

Japanese people tend to think that it is safe to have sex with Japanese but not with foreigners. However, Japan has the fastest increasing ratio of HVI/AIDS infections among developed countries. I am really scared and definitely use a condom no matter what.

And another thing our good friends at Japan Today did to mark the occassion was to advertise a new product:
Okamoto Condoms' 0.03 millimeter rubber cap allows the condom to expand safely to as big as a daikon radish. Thin and durable, it transfers body temperature and almost feels like you are not wearing a condom.

8O Assuming that much of a load could be unleashed, how safe would the orifice containing the daikon-size expanded condom be?

Speaking of ratios, I wonder what the female:male ratio of HIV infection is in Japan. It's much easier for a woman to catch it from a man than the reverse. Unless of course you're talking a man to man encounter (ick!, yes it's a un-PC "ick!" but I just can't help it).

I think sexual practices breakdown like this one being the riskiest

1) Receiving anal sex, no condom (taking a penis in your anus)
2) Giving sex or cunnilingus during menstration , no condom or dental dam
3) Receiving vaginal sex, no condom
4) Giving anal sex, no condom
5) Giving vaginal sex, no condom
6) Giving oral sex to a man, no condom (taking a penis in your mouth)
7)Receiving anal sex with a condom
8 ) Giving oral sex to a woman, no dental dam
9) Giving anal sex with a condom
10)Giving sex or cunnilingus during menstration with condom or dental dam
11)Receiving vaginal sex with a condom
12)Giving vaginal sex with a condom
13)Giving oral sex to a man with a condom
14)Giving oral sex to a woman with a dental dam
15)Staying home and wacking off (no chance of infection :D )

But I'm not sure, I don't even play a doctor on TV

What if you have had contact with blood or puss, and haven't thorough cleaned your peckery fingers and then you touch your pecker in the softest and most gentlemanly way possible, but you happen to snag the head of your schlong on a hang nail, and it draws blood that mixes with the blood and/or puss that is festering on your hands.. :D

Then you have the chance of contracting aids, providing the puss and blood is fresh, and hasn't killed the Aids virus.

I didn't think of that! Good point. OK correction, very microscopically slim chance of infection.

I was gonna say just stay home and watch TV but what if someone breaks into your house and pours a bucket of Aids infected cum on your head and some gets in your eye? Nothing is safe these days.

No, I tried to dig up the link but I couldn't find it. Before I found a study in a major newspaper that gave approximate odds of all the condomless high risk behavoir. Receiving anal sex was by far the most dangerous being something like 200 times more risky than giving vaginal sex and 2000 times more dangerous than giving oral vaginal sex. That's just from memory and might not be right. Aids activists don't like these figures because they don't want to give people a false sense of security. One things for sure, unprotected sex with a woman is very dangerous for a man and has already killed many people.

It's a scientific fact :x . I even looked it up in my copy of "Mechanisms of Microbial Diseases" before posting. The happy little HIV virus has a special affection for rectal epithelial cells and will cling lovingly to them.

And as for your perceived prejudice. If I say "ick!" to a pile of faeces am I being prejudiced against the poor misunderstood scatologists? Should the word "ick!" be banned from this board to prevent any further potential offence? I find arseholes of any race, gender or species icky... angry comment removed in the interests of common decency

Is sodomy only practiced by homosexual men? Does homosexual activity necessarily involve sodomy?

Jez, stop being such as little Leftwing twerp. It is OK to find gay sex repugnant as a personal opinion.

It is natural that most people find the rather unusual practice of sodomy to be, for want of a better word, 'unsavory'.... This is never going to change.

Now, tell us about how the future North Korean invasion of South Korea is really a 'natural N-Korean response' in the face of aggressive US 'imperialist' attempts to capture the lucrative N-Korean rubber dog-shit industry..... PS (lots of 'Halliburton' and 'Cheney' references pls).

It's not OK with me. I find homophobic jerks repugnant as a personal opinion.

Does that mean you won't go in the back door, even with a lady? Actually, people's feelings about 'sodomy' and gay sex and so on are thankfully becoming less bigoted all the time. Maybe you should join the rest of us in the new millenium.

There is a difference between finding 'gay-sex' repugnant, and being homophobic. I think most gay people are interesting because they are different and often have some uncommon knowledge, but I don't want to think about gay-sex if that's OK. Is it still OK?

AssKissinger wrote: Does that mean you won't go in the back door, even with a lady?

I can't see the attraction myself.

And tell me which millenium it will be when people will no longer associate an 'ick' factor with sodomy? Don't hold your breath.

You know if your meat is really thick you can actually tear the lining of her, or in the cause of male gay sex, his anus...

Which can lead to all matters of trouble from leaky anuses, to cancer of the rectum...

Ad hominem. Learn the art of debate.

Indeed. And it's equally ok to find homophobia repugnant.

Again, is sodomy practiced only by homosexual men? Is male homosexuality only about sodomy? Before you answer too hastily, check out Ramchop's and your previous posts.

Off topic. Was it meant as an ad hominem?

There is not necessarily any more 'ickiness' involved in sodomy than there is in vaginal sex. A clean person will not have any leftover faeces(sorry to the easily 'ickied' brigade), while most (non-pregnant) ladies will be pretty bloody at least once a month.

What can I say? Have people actually forgotten that one of the physiological purposes of a vagina is for sex while an arse is for waste removal, not sex? This is obvious to most people.....

I accept people do it, but I won't ever think it is 'natural', for straight or gay people, it is somewhat deviant behaviour.....But it doesn't even matter what I think, it is just my private opinion. It's not like I'm going to treat gay people negatively because of it-because it is their private life.

Here's a crazy thought - people do it because, to them, it feels good.

And if you look at straight vs. gay anal sex on numbers alone (as Dan Savage did in a recent column) you'll see that there are more straight people having anal sex than gay people:

[quote]Straight people have anuses, don't they? And guess what? Straight people pump out a hell of a lot more santorum than gays. Let's crunch some numbers: The best estimate of the number of gay-identified men in the United States and Canada is 3 percent of the male population, or roughly 4.5 million cock-hungry males out of 300 million men and women. According to The Social Organization of Sexuality (University of Chicago Press, 1994), 10 percent of straight men and 9 percent of straight women surveyed reported engaging in anal sex, which works out to more than 50 million straight people buttfucking their brains out. (My figures include children and the aged, who, for the purposes of this column, shall be regarded as future straight buttfuckers or retired straight buttfuckers.) The Chicago study was conducted a decade ago]
(If you're not familiar with the term "Santorum," it's that frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex, named in honor of homophobic Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA).
