Slow internet?

while my direct connection to NTT using their test is over 600mbps my connection to websites is 1.7mbps. What the fuck. I can't even watch youtube or play the PS4. I called NTT and they are blaming the provider (bb.excite).

Anyone know which provider is least likely to choke off my connection?

BTW the advertised connection speed is the theoretical maximum between you and the ISP's router. Speeds attainable after that depend on a variety of factors, including the location of the remote server, the remote server's connection/bandwidth, and the ISP's peering/routing arrangements. But when I asked him, he was just moving his work movies from computer to ipad on our home network... NTT has been shit recently...

Your answer exactly highlight my issues with nasa space wearher forecast.
To compare with meteo: they tell you about which clouds are comming, what the humidiy is, what the pression and temperature are. What are the wind speed and direction.

Instead of telling you straight away if it will fucking rain or snow...
