Just by pure coincidence, I woke up this morning to find a couple of packs of Partheno in the fridge. The kind with the little cup of honey in the lid. It was very good, so I have requested that my live-in purchasing agent make it a regular stock item.

Certainly available at Seiyu. Not bad either, though a bit creamier and not as sour as the one from Aeon.

On the general subject, I don't suppose anyone's ever seen quark in these parts?

I can't say that i have ever sampled quark, so if it is closer to cottage cheese image than halloumi/Iberian queso fresco then you might be disappointed by this, but I have previously pimped this guy's stuff, a Brazilian in Gunma making fresh cheeses.

in other news...OMG YOU GUYS! I finally tried the Partheno and i am ALL ABOUT THE GREEK now. That stuff is heaven in my mouth. I had this idea that it was going to be really sour and lumpy like plain yoghurt is, but no, this stuff is goooooood.
