I really don't understand the hatred of selfie sticks. I wouldn't buy one but it seems like a pretty good idea if you're the type that likes to take pictures of yourself in front of tourist attractions (I'm not). Maybe it's just the name that pisses people off. I have to admit it makes my skin crawl when I hear "selfie stick." Same with "man bun." There have always been hippy dudes who kept their hair up like that and I never thought about it one way or the other. Calling it a man bun does make me want to punch someone though.

They were banned at Disneyland (LA) as well as a few other places I went recently. One of the J-girls had some sort of clip-on fish eye lens that could get everyone and the background in a shot without looking like a douche...and there's always just asking someone to take a pic for you...
