The Audi dealer said that if you don't use high octane gas it will void your warranty. Not sure if they can really do that, but as Wagyl said, if you are buying this kind of car, why gum it up over a few hundred yen.

Anyone going up that way: there is more to Hirosaki than just cherry blossoms and castle. There are hot springs in the middle of town, lacquerware traditions, shamisen, Meiji era westernish architecture, freshwater springs bubbling up in the town, and surprisingly a mature and thriving coffee culture and French cuisine culture. I usually do Mt Iwaki and north and south Hakkoda. Shimokita peninsula is worth a look too, but be prepared for it to take longer than you expect.

Sounds great

Wish I had more time to get out of Tokyo. Been trying to get just a day off for weeks to get on the bike and ride round the mountains but there is always some little fucking thing I have to do at work.

The meiji era architecture sounds especially interesting.

I hope this doesn't just show pictures of tanks.

I can also recommend this place, not just for the architecture, but also because the guy running it knows all about providing service. It was built to accommodate officers travelling when Hirosaki was a garrison town (which is also the reason it was a prosperous town in the Meiji era). He also rides a bike.

Kudos for full disclosure, but surely they also have proper cuisine of some sort available somewhere in town? It's good to know the downsides of any potential destination, but that alone doesn't sound enough to cancel out the charms of the place.

Yes, it is a turbo. But the engine is a little small, 1.4 litre. But again the dealer said it will blow the doors off most Japanese same sized cars.

Same in the hexagon, but we know it’s a zionist ploy to illegally inflate the price of molotov cocktails before the elections. There’s no market manipulation too small not to be abused by these punk assses clowns.
