I thought there was something strange about the front right tyre. According to comments, it was a 16 year old without a licence who took his parent's car for a joyride while his mother was out of the country, caused a hit and run (just hitting an unoccupied parked car), and this was him trying to hide the evidence. During my HS years in LA, this type of shit happened nearly every year. Some dumb fobby kid with rich parents that either lived overseas or simply went overseas would take daddy's car to school to show off....and license or not, nearly always ended in disaster. (street race crash, whistling at girls as they rear-ended the soccer mom van in front of them, etc.)

It is not that difficult to find the garage -- apparently owned by the family of a friend of the teen. Sales records show that it, and the house and land attached, was bought for CAD 8.23 million three years ago. That's 6.7 oku yen. I can sort of see why Canadian Journalists complain about an overheated market in Vancouver: it is hard for the staff at the local Tim Hortons to find somewhere nearby that they can afford to live.

Wow...I'm still waiting for the migration away from big cities to go mainstream. Companies here and there are doing it in the US and I know a few people who moved to BFE for dirt cheap because their jobs are 100% online but the emptying of the metropolises hasn't quite happened yet. (one guy I know bought an island in Alaska...a fucking island!)
