I just came across this bit of history, as a footnote to explain the emigration of 40,000 Koreans from Jeju to Japan in the late 1940's. I am trying not to be judgemental what with it being at the beginning of the Cold War, in the lead up to the Korean War, and involving the left and right sides of politics, but one thing you can say is that the Korean population in Japan is a deeply nuanced issue.

South Korean prosecutors have demanded a 3-year prison sentence for a university professor who wrote a book on those referred to as comfort women.

This is not to excuse Japan. Japan has systematically refused to come to terms with the very real crimes it committed against its neighbours,
325Recommend

huh? are you fucking ok?
ignorance is a crime. why the fuck can those hypocrites behave like an angel despite the fact that they themselves still havnt formally apologized and compensated their own colonizations yet?? eh? FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKERS
Takechanpoo wrote:as i said before, among the ex-major powers, its ONLY japan which formally apologized and compensated the past colonization. the other ex-majors havent done yet. why? because they do not need to do so. why? they lawfully annexed and colonized under the international law at that time. and japan, too, went through the very same procedures and annexed korean peninsula in the very same way with theirs. and it was formally recognized by the international society. nevertheless, ONLY japan already formally apologized and compensated the past colonization in spite of the fact that there was originally no need to do so. it was an epochmaking history event. even germany still has not done it formally.
https://venturesafrica.com/germany-to-a ... p-further/
but the international society hardly knows it and has not evaluated it adequately yet because of the ignorance and indefference of them toward far east history. japan has a huge gripe about it seriously.

and korean always quote and compare j-colonization with the war crimes committed by imperial japan and nazi germany
but its typically ridiculously a category mistake. what korean should compare with about j-colonization are uks india, frances Algeria, hollands indonesia, italys Libya, belguims Congo, americas filipine and germanys Namibia etc, NOT the war crimes.

and japan just has been taking exceptions to the exaggerated and made-up parts korean did. why the fuck on earth should be regarded as "not so sorry" if you take an exeption to the undeserved part they made up. any vicious criminals have a right to do it needless to say and they should be punished only by what they really did.
unfortunately and stupidly some westerners, especially "liberal" ones blindly follow the korean exaggeration, fabrication and category mistake without verifying. because they look so poor and weak, always wearing victim card around their neck. and those weakhead "generous" westerners are their easy target. its really a vicious circle.

He then later easily broke his restraints and attacked more crew and another passenger. When we landed in Seoul police boarded the plane.
Heading home to Los Angeles soon but Korean Air should be sanctioned for not knowing how to handle a situation like this without passenger interference.

jewish "do not treat comfort women on the same level with the holocaust!!!! "
Canada-Israel Friendship Association sent a protest letter to unesco.
A second blow was delivered in a document against Japan, concerning the so-called “comfort women”, which alleges that between 80,000 and 200,000 Asian women (the presenters are unable to provide a definitive number) have been forced into sex slavery by the Japanese government during World War II.

“The ‘comfort woman’ system, which has become recognized through the gradual accumulation of fragments of evidence, is a wartime tragedy comparable to the Holocaust and the Cambodian genocide, not in terms of the numbers of victims, but in terms of the depth of the victims’ suffering and their enduring humiliation.”

An examination of the facts will clarify the validity of the statement, but even before going there, it is clear how the Holocaust has been exploited irresponsibly. Those who use it here distort and denigrate its meaning. There have been many interpretations of that unique catastrophe that befell on the Jews, but the concise remarks by Eli Cohen, former Israeli Ambassador to Japan, in a letter to a Japanese journalist, summarize the problem quite well:

The actions of Japan in the occupied countries were thoroughly investigated after the war. The guilty parties faced an international tribunal in Tokyo. Though one of the judges, Justice R.B. Pal from India, found some of the charges excessive and issued a dissenting opinion, Japan accepted the findings and the verdict in an agreement signed after the end of the American occupation in 1952. At no point during the trial was the alleged government conspiracy to enslave sexually 200,000 women brought to the judges’ attention and it is impossible to assume that they would overlook something so important.

The issue of the army brothels was investigated by the American authorities. Declassified documents show that the conclusion was that in most cases they employed paid prostitutes. Again, there was no sex slave conspiracy uncovered.

The People’s Republic of China had always been involved in a propaganda war against Japan. “Comfort women” would have been a perfect propaganda point and any patriarchal considerations would be out of the question. China has no qualms about attacking its foes,

The “comfort women” issue became important only after China and South Korea acquired significant local economic power to compete with Japan.

Tesla is being sued by a S.Korean celebrity claiming his Model X accelerated on its own into his garage, logs show user mistake
https://electrek.co/2016/12/30/tesla-su ... eleration/

“We take the safety of our customers very seriously and conducted a thorough investigation following Mr. Son’s claims. The evidence, including data from the car, conclusively shows that the crash was the result of Mr. Son pressing the accelerator pedal all the way to 100%.”

“Before filing his class action lawsuit against Tesla, Mr. Son had threatened to use his celebrity status in Korea to hurt Tesla unless we agreed to make a financial payment and acknowledge that the vehicle accelerated on its own. However, the evidence clearly shows the vehicle was not at fault. Our policy is to stand by the evidence and not to give in to ultimatums.”

DAEJEON, South Korea —

The Daejeon District Court in central South Korea on Thursday approved a request by Buseoksa temple to take delivery of an ancient Buddhist statue stolen from a Japanese temple in 2012.

Buseoksa temple, in Seosan, central South Korea, has claimed rightful ownership of the statue of the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, saying it was made there in the 14th century.

In February 2013, the court approved an injunction request by Buseoksa temple suspending the return of the statue until it was confirmed that the religious artifact was legitimately brought to Japan, and not plundered by Japan. Three years after an injunction was implemented, the temple filed a suit requesting delivery of the statue.

In April last year, Buseoksa temple filed the suit claiming that the statue had been illegally taken to Japan several hundred years ago.

While I sympathise with Koreans wanting to discuss the issue, the statue obsession makes them look just that - obsessive and incredibly narcissistic. I'm not sure but I think some stupid Korean cunts in Australia did the same but Australia also had number of women citizens who were prisoners of the Japanese military and also sex slaves as some of the prisoners were. And yep, I believe their interviews and books where they said they were victims of the same kind of military coercion.

Yet there hasn't been any similar obsessive bullshit about making statues of Australian comfort women outside the Jp Consulate in Melbourne or the Embassy in Canberra. Nor have the Japanese Govt or Japanese citizens made statues of Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims to be put outside the American Embassy anywhere including Japan.

Classic case of insular people projecting their sense of victimhood on the world. Koreans have said in all seriousness to me and others that they were 'Holocaust victims of the Japanese'. Right. That was in Oz as well as Korea. I instructed the fuckwits who were unfortunately Oz citizens cause their parents were lucky enough to move to Australia, to go talk to some members of the Jewish community in Melbourne and gain some perspective and lessen their persecution complexes.

The Jews did not benefit from the Nazis in any way but at least under Jp colonisation, Korean enslavement of Koreans was forbidden by Japanese-made laws, minorities such as the 'untouchables', the Paekchon, were given equal rights, and such high technology as postmen delivering letters, and seeing bicycles for the first time, made their appearance in Korea.

The Koreans are usually tippy-toes when it comes to restraining or punishing violent and other bad/unnecessary behaviour by Koreans in international situations. The few times I travelled on Korean airlines, the flight attendants thought it was fine that a rude cunt of an ajumma kept talking loudly to her friendly early in the morning when everybody else wanted to sleep.

I repeatedly asked them politely to tell her to cut it out. They didn't so I went over to her and told her to shut up in Korean. That did the trick. I am never rude like this but something had to be done to make the bitch and her friend lose face.

I also experienced middle aged and older Korean men knocking loudly on the toilet doors (including mine) to make those lesser people who had dared to go to the dunny in flight when the 'superior' Koreans suddenly decided they too had to use the dunny, get out quickly. They then resorted to shouting to us to get out of the dunny. I ignored them at first but as they could clearly see the toilets were occupied, they were just being the usual classless Korean cunts.

I told them in Korean to shut up and go away. When I came out, one of them tried to grab me by the arm but I told him (in Korean) that if he did that, it was assault under international and Australian law and I would call the airport cops as soon as the plane landed in Melbourne. I also took a photo of him and told him I had evidence. Note that during all this, not one Korean flight attendant said anything to us even when I asked them to call for a male flight attendant.

Japan paid S Korea compensation for the "comfort women" and others in 1965.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_on ... ettlements

Both side agreed that this treaty resolved all outstanding issues from the war years and before.

The S Korean government invested the reparation funds into industry. The "comfort women" and others got next to nothing.

If the S Koreans want to complain, then they should complain about their own government.

Current noise is simply Korean whinging.
There is no excellent beauty, that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.

A committee seeking to erect a girl's statue symbolizing victims of its wartime sexual slavery in Atlanta, Georgia, said Saturday that Japan has mounted an offensive to foil the installation.

Japanese Consul General in Atlanta Takashi Shinozuka is meeting with influential figures in the US city to squash the plan, the committee said in a press conference Friday, adding that word of the installation is spreading.

According to the committee, the Japanese side is warning about an economic fallout resulting from many Japanese companies operating in Atlanta ditching the US city if the statue is erected.

........the committee said there are such statues and monuments in 53 cities worldwide, which makes Japan's assertion lose credibility.

Japanese, Koreans, all the same whiners. Shameful.

But who is killing all these Kim uncles and brothers? Could be Kim himself, sure, but might as well be someone else to isolate him and make him vulnerable; **conspiracy**. US? Worst Korea? The poison attack this week looks a little Russian to me. Just a thought, I don't know enough; who does?

The behaviour of the North Korean Embassy everywhere is fairly suspicious even when they are doing the works of an angel, but looking at the response of the media in North Korea to the event -- not announcing who the NK citizen may be -- gives enough clues to me to read the truth behind the events. You can just guess what their response would have been if it wasn't a state endorsed act. This is of course how the citizenry in North Korea consumes the news media there -- listening carefully for what has not been said, which of the formulaic responses are missing.

As one of the few countries to maintain diplomatic contact with North Korea, Malaysia must be extremely angry that it had to happen there. It is a headache nobody wants, but even more so a headache dumped on you by someone who pretends to be your friend...

the first weeks of a white traveler on Korean soil are anything but pleasant. If he be a man of sensitive organization he will spend most of his time under the compelling sway of two alternating desires. The first is to kill Koreans, the second is to commit suicide. I prefer the first.

WIESENT, Germany, March 9 (Yonhap) -- A statue of a Korean girl symbolizing victims who were sexually enslaved by Japanese troops during World War II was erected in Germany's southeastern municipality of Wiesent on Wednesday.

The unveiling ceremony of the "comfort women" statue was held at the Nepal Himalaya Pavillon, a park in Wiesent, which is part of the district of Resenburg. It was attended by some 100 local German officials and representatives from the Suwon City government and civic groups from South Korea.

Suwon city had initially struck a deal with Freiburg, a different German city, last July to set up a comfort woman statue in that city. The agreed setup was scuttled because of apparent strong obstruction and pressure by Japan.
