5C in August? Where are you?

Lots of wind, lots of rain here right now makes for good comfy poncho/wellies doggie walks. Unfortunately considerably more than 5°C.

Finally, wl'll all know, if there is any truth about the weather in the bible:

Will the 2017 solar eclipse cause a secret planet called 'Nibiru' to destroy Earth next month?

The Telegraph wrote:Conspiracy theorists around the world are claiming that a planet will collide with Earth this September - and that the coming solar eclipse will signal the apocalypse's beginning.

David Meade, author of 'Planet X – The 2017 Arrival', asserts the planet Nibiru (also known as Planet X) will crash into our own on 23 September 2017.

Although scientists deny the planet's existence, Meade is convinced he is right after finding bible passages to support his claims.

Earlier this year Meade asserted that Nibiru would crash into Earth in October, however he has now moved the date forward a few weeks.

The Great American Eclipse - the total solar eclipse which will enshroud parts of the US in complete darkness on 21 August - now apparently indicates the planet's arrival.

[...]

Too hot here anyway, so bring it on!

We've had three earthquakes in the last two days, which is fairly unusual for this part of the country. There were also two more in Kyushu's far south. The end is nigh!

In my little corner of Fukuoka, the neighbourhood PA system has been announcing heat warnings daily usually by 10AM (for the last couple of weeks).
Make sure you stay cool*, drink lots of fluids, and don't stay outside in the direct sun for too long, etc.

It's been raining pretty much non stop for the last week. All the typhoons we have had for a while have been little more than some proper wind and heavy rain - there have been a couple of near misses for flooding but nothing really serious. I hope the same is true of this one. The amount of rain we have already had makes me a bit nervous though - flooding is such a bitch. Spring tide was yesterday and that doesn't help at all. Monday morning will be a bit nervous for quite a few people.

My rather expensive area has zero worries from either as well so you can cut the gloating, worm. Unlike you, I have friends who live in areas that are vulnerable. And unlike you, I am capable of empathy. I'd be careful of that by the way as it's a classic sign of sociopathic and psychopathic personality disorder.

 :shake:

jomon people is classified as Haplogroup D and came to this island about 15000 ago while yayoi people is classfied as Haplogroup O.
jomon was not ancient korean, needless to say and its even suspicious the mainstream of yayoi was ancient korean. recent studies have shown that some of yayois lived around yangtze river. you can say at most some of yayois were ancient korean.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup_D-M174

actually i was in my childhood. i could not understand other peoples emotions by standing on their viewpoints. and abused and killed cats and dogs in my neighborhood by beating, cutting and stabbing their eyes, ear, tail and belly. but studying philosophy(mainly german) in the high school and university days saved me.

Just a question, Takechan, but did you also have the urge in your childhood to start fires, and did you wet your bed until you were a teenager?

Are you sure you want to go down this road Russell? Probably the most interesting training session I ever did was led by a psychiatric nurse. Quite a revelation - she was in no doubt at all that the diagnosis you really don't want to have is personality disorder and severe personality disorder basically means lock him up and throw away the key. Dangerous stuff. Far more dangerous than schizophrenic or something like that.

Nah, Takechan should be fine...

What makes a child psychopathic?

The concept of a psychopathic child makes people queasy. The two categories seem incompatible. Children, even badly behaved ones, are viewed as maintaining some fundamental innocence, whereas psychopaths are seen as fundamentally depraved. Neither stereotype is totally true. Children, just like adults, are capable of cruelty and violence, and even highly psychopathic people are not cruel or violent all of the time.

Psychopathy is a developmental disorder. It doesn’t emerge out of nowhere in adulthood – all psychopathic adults show signs during adolescence or childhood.

But this doesn’t mean we should label a child a psychopath – far from it. No responsible researcher or clinician ever would. Even though every adult psychopath began as a psychopathic child, the reverse is not true: many children with high psychopathy scores do not go on to become adult psychopaths. And remission can occur in response to favourable changes in a child’s environment, or as a result of innate developmental processes.

And what is your take on Nietzsche?
