It sounds like that went about as well as you could've hoped for.

I have no idea how these things work but knowing Japan's love of keeping paper I would assume this will go into some sort of file with your name on it. Should you be caught importing other questionable items in the future they may not look on it quite as kindly as they did this time. If experimentation is your thing you're living in the wrong part of the world, unfortunately.

Amazon seems to be chatty at times. Have you ever ordered a birthday gift for her, maybe?

Or, could they have had a chat with his neighbours and landlord?

They wouldn't know her name (she doesn't live with me), but Amazon certainly does since I've shared my Prime account with her... so that's probably the most likely explanation. Still annoys me, though. What does her using my Prime Video account have to do with me ordering cream chargers? But whatever, I got off easy all things considered, so I should stop bitching.

Good to hear it went well!

And did you get to keep the N2O canisters?

Let's just say that someone at Kansai Airport is probably going on a very different kind of trip right now...

Actually, it wouldn't surprise me.

None at all, but as I mentioned above, I doubt they would have called me in as a "reference person" (without even drug testing me) if said pusher wasn't the target of the investigation.

Glad it went well.
I'm not sure what the moral of the story might be, but if I were your girlfriend I would by you a whisk, but not on Amazon.

More knowledge I wish I had learned earlier: you do not need a whisk.

You can beat cream very easily and effectively just by putting it in a tupperware and shaking it vigorously. You won't believe it until you try it. No beaters or whisks to clean up afterwards, either. The cream is already in a convenient container.

I haven't tried it, but I would not be surprised if you got a little lightheaded and euphoric if you were put in a large tupperware and shaken vigorously, too.

I am glad that this interview did not go to a dark place.
I am also happy that the OP gave some feedback. I was pretty certain that we wouldn't hear from him for over 23 days, and not necessarily because he had been held in detention  Thank you for proving me wrong on that count.

Haha, yeah, I'm not much of a forum guy, except during tax season (pure coincidence, of course)... Anyway, I'm obviously very relieved right now, and thankful that a bunch of you guys tried to help me out (instead of banning me, which the Reddit mods apparently thought would be more helpful).

Speaking of not hanging out on forums, any FG meetups planned in the near feature? (Although judging from my girlfriend's mood after the past week's drama, I'm not sure I'll qualify as a fucked gaijin again anytime soon...)

The japanlife mods can be an odd bunch but I suppose that's a common theme for mods anywhere on Reddit.

Bans don't mean anything anyway. Make a new account and carry on. If you're paranoid then force your IP to change first so your new account isn't directly tied to your old account in Reddit's logs (mods can't see the logs but technically you're not supposed to create a new account to get around a ban.) Clear your browser cache & cookies, obviously.

Nah, I'm good. Fuck Japanlife and that piece of shit mod who locked the thread based on a random hunch and then went apeshit in my DM's saying he hoped the police would give me "a nice long vacation" to "clean me up".

When you get to the police only give short concise answers. If you feel uncomfortable, you may want to get an attorney.

That's what Ghosn did...

Japan is very good at finding things out about you. Again, if you are nervous, consult a lawyer. A bit expensive, granted, but it will give you piece of mind.
