Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Belgium nick it. I agree England are the outsiders but we will see. England's goalkeeper had a great game too and some of the other players appear to be growing into their roles quickly. Youngsters can be a pain in the arse sometimes .......
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Looks like the Europeans have nicked the whole of football from the South Americans. Next thing we'll see Frenchies sitting in subway stations playing "El Condor Pasa" on panflutes...

Agreed that the play as a team is just as important as individual talent. And in the end the ball can roll anywhere due to its shape, so yes, England definitely has a chance. But first there is Croatia...

I don't watch enough soccer to know if it's unique but watching the British feed on the games I watched, the commentators sound like a bunch of defeatists. Once goal and "It's over!" and "That's the game!" Maybe I'm just used to hockey but if there's still time on the clock...

...seemingly impossible comebacks are possible.

Yeah, Matsuki, but the English were outplayed by the Belgians, so it was difficult to come back after that goal, though they actually came quite close.

Anyway, the England team is quite young, so they have time to develop. Let's see how they perform in the coming decade.

Well, that was quite a final. It had it all. What a drama.

Yeah, but it was the same type of announcing in the other games I watched. Maybe it's normal, just seemed really pessimistic.
