You're probably right, my Kanji reading is shit. Her family testing results were negative and, according to the article, she wasn't tested but it was assumed, by the immigration authorities, that she too was negative.
沖縄県は21日、県内在住の学生の10代女性が成田空港で新型コロナウイルスの検査を受け、陽性が確認されたと厚生労働省から連絡があったことを明らかにした。

CCP is calling the new clusters "imported infections" despite 90% of them being Chinese Nationals that were returning from abroad
Meanwhile the US is still wasting time and focus arguing over Trump calling it "Chinese virus." If we can't be mature enough to realize the geographic origin isn't intended to be racist/blame, might as well lean in and go with "CCP virus."
Why not go nuclear and call it the yellow socialist virus? If you are going to, yet again, play the dead rat card then this time it needs to be ramped up. There's a lot at stake and just because something has a correct and rational name that is no reason to use it.
matsuki wrote:Current stance is China is virus free and any new cases are "imported."

Have you ever been in the offices of a Japanese company? Look at the computer keyboards and screens and you'll get a mouthful of what that "unique cleanliness" means; ewwww.

Long Time No Post (LTNP???), LOL BFF. I hope everybody is holding up, and self-medicating as directed by Those Who Know Better. I had to pull out of the southwest (near Da FUK), where I had been hiding away by the beach, and fly back home to help with my aged Mommy. The plane was ghostly empty, and the service was superb. The Cdn side was a bit like a zombie disaster scene, but there wasn't too much kerfuffle.
The emergency brings people together eh? Great to hear from the libertarian populist who is actually worth listening to - and look forward to you and Scipio squabbling like it was 2006.

Or better still try other posters 'squabbling' with Kuro in the 2013 thread 'Maori Guest Lecturer Banned From Hokkaido Onsen'.
Wonderful posts there from Kuro, glad to hear you welcoming him back, your virtue signaling high horse

After this put your foot down and just hunker down. I get you get it, but that work worshipping macho refusenik attitude far too many will show will be the death of far more than was necessary. It's mostly just blind habit, fear of self, and overglorified plebbery anyways. Even in hippified Vancouver it is raising its ugly head now. The Toxics are starting to talk about Acceptable Fatality Rates. Yours and mine will be fine, or just get a nasty flu, but our neighbours and older rellies might not. Good luck.
PS Fuckin Hell I wish I had stayed in Japan for this. Fuck.................FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PPS Just bored. No need for concern
kurogane wrote:I don't think the Wuhan Clan is really the problem anymore, and I don't know if they actually are flying in all that much. Most of the reports about that stuff seems to come from Lunchbucket Larry Alternative News sites (aka Toxic White or Angry Saxon tinfoil hat news). Banning flights won't do much anyways, and anybody on them will be Cdn/PR, and they have a right of entry. The real problem with Those People will be next week when the cherry blossoms come out down the street from me. #Hanamidiots need to be corralled and leashed, regardless of their multiculturalific intersectional predispositions.
kurogane wrote:Oh, if it's a favour thing, that's a bit different than that slavish insistence on work I was talking about. and a nice gesture. I am going quietly loony over here. We got Mom moved to the fancy Old Folks' Home and so I am in her old place, all ready to pack up and vacate, except for 1 tiny detail involving this crap. Which I get.
Oh, and this gem just in:
if you do decide to read, don't read any fiction. People in Certain Parts of Canada are talking about sympathetic contagion from the Novel Coronavirus
