Totally disqualifies him as to knowing what tastes delicious...

He smokes a pipe. Good pipe tobacco is not the same as a cigarette. Same with a fine cigar.

You must not have heard of the story of Milton Hershey. Near the end of his life he decided to produce a healthy vegetable based ice cream. Having tasted the various choices he opted for beet flavored ice cream which was absolutely hideous. Why did he approve such a dud? Speculation was that his taste bids were completely destroyed by his years of heavy cigar smoking.

Sort of, being the unix/apple IT guy in a windows/cisco company allowed for quite some deviation before being branded a clinically insane.

On paper the work situation didn't make any sense. IRL that was another story lead by the fact that most customers aside from 1-2 monolithic giants were apple users or going back to apple after the W95/98 vista -on the web- hangover and nobody in house wanted to admit that windows was not all rainbows and puppy stuff... Standard corporate denial...

Starbucks Japan makes the Mad Hatter proud selling hot water tainted with dead leaves and a children's set of toy cakes for 4,620yen ($42 USD).
Starbucks Japan’s Afternoon Tea Set: So popular it sells out in minutes

...
we picked up the phone, called the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo, the only place in Japan where it was being offered, and asked the staff how many minutes it took for them to sell out every day. They replied:
“On the first day, we sold out in 60 minutes.”
...we set out on 8 July with plenty of time to head to the Teavana section of the Roastery by 1:00 p.m., but when we got there just before sale time, there was already a queue of people waiting to get a seat.

...Starbucks truly has some diehard fans in Tokyo, because this afternoon tea isn’t cheap — it’s priced at 4,620 yen (US$42) per person.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Well…
Gotta admit things are getting boringerer by the minute on this planet.

Devolved into taking some furrkidz to the park across the street (not to be confuseded with the parc on the right after the stop sign or the parc between the back of the house and the river… i think there’s more parks in this town than there are pharmacies in Paris)

Sooooo… stupid cakes sounds almost better than trying to explain to the tortie that she can’t bring home the toddler she just murdered and will have to settle to either the few doggos or one of the completely miss casted goats…

Have to admit that looks pretty good...but the price, yikes, maybe worth splitting with someone?
