J-stage version of Sister Act...Blackface?

Postby Hijinx » Fri Jul 04, 2014 7:56 am

I saw an ad for this on TV the other day and my first reaction was, "Isn't this Blackface?" The website doesn't look so bad, but in the TV ad, Mori had a very dark face. It didn't seem quite right.

Japan Today's moderators are retarded fuckwits. Especially the one that was moderating the morning of 12/31/18--what a true cunt.

It definitely looks like they toned down the blackface for the poster. It's even more obvious in this video.

I think that’s pretty rad but this is where the woke "stay in your lane" and "cultural appropriation" logic divides by zero.

I’m a bit surprised that the “native americans” didn’t send a giant STFU to the blm crap…

Because i’d say that as far as victimworthyness goes… them blackies had it easy…

Or as I read a sumwhere:

“Your parents didn’t pickup cotton, my parents didn’t have slaves… sooo…”

There is no doubt slavery/theft/etc. generated, generational wealth that some families have benefitted from just like there are generational prejudices that have made life/acceptance/etc. more difficult for other groups. That all being said, the current playing field in the US is more level than most and most people are in favor of further refinement. Unfortunately, the recent narrative, is stoking meaningless division based on race by playing on the ignorance and entitlement of the perpetually offended generation. Divide and conquer?

Sort a on topic but I came across this dude after he died...something something RedBull and Gas station viagra don't mix

He's a knock off of Tom Leykis who was targeting black women in America but he does a pretty good job of bitch slapping callers back to reality....though others will obviously continue to live in their own head, with inflated sense of self worth, selfishness, and lack of any responsibility. (and yet others are just clearly beyond hope on the far left side of the bell curve)

Bette Midler snubbed Sister Act because she didn't want to wear a nun's habit
