Investigators said the gang members planned the robbery to cover the 600,000-yen fee for having their clothes embroidered. They had the girls lure the man in through an Internet dating site on March 14, then called him to the Tama River riverbed in Kawasaki, where they beat him with a metal bat and stole 32,000 yen from him, police said.
