Opening doors

Postby Jack » Fri Mar 26, 2004 9:39 pm

Maybe when you live in Japan you don't notice it but when you come back to North America (just to include Canada also) you notice how often you open doors. When I am in Japan the only door I ever open is a hotel room door or a house door. Everywhere else is eaither doorless or the doors open automatically (except at some stores and coffee shops where you have to push a button for the door to open). Even taxis open doors for you. I like the system in Japan because every day I have to open some 20 doors on my way to work to and from the train station as I walk underground.

Yeah, Jack,

I trip on that CONSTANTLY.

Ive actually run into quite a few doors expecting them to open up.
I will not abide ignorant intolerance just for the sake of getting along.

You're a regular Mark Twain.

If I wanted to read that kind of boring shit I'd go to the NYTimes.

Don't worry, I got you covered on that one. Taro covers the local news and Yahoo, and I usually cover the NY Times.
