KAWASAKI -- A girl diagnosed as suffering from a mental illness often experienced by combat veterans has sued the parents of classmates she accuses of bullying....
.....Accused in the lawsuit are four adults, the parents of two children who teased the girl about her mixed heritage, pulled her hair and were otherwise violent toward her at school from about April 2000, when the children were all in the third grade.
In 2000 and again in 2003, the girl, whose father is Chinese and mother Japanese, was diagnosed as suffering from PTSD brought on by the rough treatment her classmates had handed out to her.

I actually think this is a good idea. Many schools lack
discipline and a sufficient number of teachers per
student. Forcing the schools to become involved
can only help.

The amount of bullying that occurs in school is
awful. In no other location do humans tolerate
this kind of harrassment.

I'm of the opinion that bringing back corporal
punishment would help, and giving kids
in school suspension with detention after that
would also prove efficacious.

Just being able to remove offending students and have them sent to an administrator would help. Discipline should be handled by a third party.. not by the teacher who is teaching the class.

This type of shit would stop in a heartbeat, if teachers themselves didn't harbor racist thoughts themselves... Many of them hate foreigners as much as the classmates.

The parents should be responsible, especially if they are too pompous to even offer an apology for what their brats did.... what a shame.

I know first hand of a 1st year high school girl bullied by classmates cause she was from another prefecture and moved to this school....this ended up in a group of 3rd grade boys Gang raping her!

They were never charged only the parents forced to apologize and the poor girl had to continue there as her parents wouldnt (couldnt??) press charges

If this can happen to girl who is japanese and considered different then its no surprise korean born japanese often conceal their identities

I can't understand how the parents couldn't or wouldn't press charges. We're talking about gang rape here.
