Do you know a Swedish punk band called The Monsters who did a song called 'Psyche Out With Me'?

What are the most extreme bands from Sweden these days? I hear there's some crazy metal and shit coming out of there. Go Sweden Fuck Yeah!!!

Hello hello...

Postby Larmia » Fri May 21, 2004 9:12 am

Hello everyone.

My alias is Larmia and I am of course a big anime fan as well as videogame nerd. I like alot of animes but there is quite a few animes I can't stand as well. I like series such as Earth Girl Arjuna, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Last Exile, FLCL and plenty of others. As for mangas I have far too many I like to even try and attempt to list but I am big fan of CLAMP's works such as X/1999 or Magic Knight Rayearth.

I've been interested in Japan ever since I found out who created Sonic the Hedgehog at the age of seven. I always wanted to go there but lately from all the negativity I read and hear from friends who went there, I am not too sure about it. But I do plan to go there one day just to see how its like.

I'm a long drawing freelance anime artist who started drawing at the age of around three or such. I am self taught and take pride in my works. I am currently mastering Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and have an art gallery on http://www.devianart.com, just look up the name chibiandor.

In anycase...hello

a new fallen japanophile joins the ranks...

Postby Guruhoro » Wed Jun 02, 2004 8:48 pm

Osu :P .

You wouldn't believe the chain of lucky events that dropped me wham splat into one of the other topics. When I realised what the name of the forum was, I couldn't resist the will to register.
Although I have essentially positive thoughts about Japan, I also do not take stuff very seriously. Therefore, I might survive this place without "taking damage  " from the various stuff said.
I'm a manga enthusiast, sort of, but not either the stereotypical middle-aged guy who is in to loli-- *cough* young Japanese females, and certainly not the stereotypical young DBZ fan. I prefer quality works such as everything from Clamp, and slightly ecchi stuff and so on...
Through watching subtitled anime and translating a manga from Japanese to English (fan work, not official), I have built an understanding of basic Japanese grammar, along with a hodgepodge of vocabulary. I know around 150 Kanji and all of the kana. I really ought to take a course to learn more grammar, but I have survived without...
As for visiting Japan: I have the will, but not the cash. Someday...

Hey folks, my name is Chris & I hail from the city of Saskatoon, the province of Saskatchewan and the country of Canada.

I am flying out of my city on July the 6th and have -no- clue what I will be doing in Japan as I only have a "Working Holiday" visa. I plan on doing some traveling and hopefully picking up a job. I applied at Nova but was rejected as I only have a two-year degree from college, not university (those bastards).

Im just looking to make some friends and find a place to live! If any of you could help a guy out, it would be greatly apprecaited!!!

Take care & I hope to talk to some of you soon!

Hi all,

Soon to be FG here Stateside for the time being. Heading east to work for the Japanese Man for awhile whoring my native tongue to all willing participants. I'll be in Tochigi by mid-July, hope to meet some likeminded FGs!

Greetings everyone, it's a pleasure to meet you all. I'm a sixteen year old teenager from the hicktastic wastelands of western Kansas with hopes of living in Japan someday. I'm currently working diligently on my Japanese, and I'll be en route to Japan next summer on a foreign exchange program. Hobbies of mine include writing poetry, drawing, martial arts, cooking, and meditating. I hope to make some friends here on f*cked gaijin and enjoy my stay here

Asskissinger (another ongaku-maniac supreme) led me here, and to him I shall be eternally grateful. I'm JP, 32, genkily married, 5 years in Nagoya/Aichi, then a 2 year grad school break in Hawaii, now back in Japan in Shizuoka (about 8 minutes from Atami) teaching at Nichidai. Music and movie freak, ex-DJ and wannabe electronic musician. I also still enjoy the odd bit of sleazy hentai manga and occasional cigarette smoking in Roppongi dive bars (but don't tell the wife... :) ) Yorushiku.

hey hey

I joined yesterday!

Namakemono desu. Yoroshiku!

Apart from being a computer geek, I watch anime and japanese movies, read manga, try to learn japanese, and become friends with every japanese chick I can find. I applied for a job in Japan the other day and I found this site while searching for info on it. I've always wanted to work in Japan, and if I get this job, hopefully I will be there in a couple of months :)

Something tells me I might be spending alot of time here from now on...

Yeah, after today I'm thinking I should create two more avatars and just have conversation threads with myself to up my beer rating.

djgizmoe says "I heard Koizumi is a member of the illuminati."

djgizmo says "Yeah, I saw it on C-SPAN."

djgizmore says "What a dork. Now hate him even more."

djgizmoe says "Yeah, I totally agree."

networking through my current employer; a case of opportunity meets preparation, mostly. i had the right sort of skill & experience, had my net cast out and was lucky enough to fish a big one.

not everything that shines is gold though, so i am about to do a u-turn. the air of our european offices does not really suit my rythm. for all the bitching i used to do about it while i was living there, japan is a really good place to live / work in.

Konbanwa all, and let me introduce myself.

I`m the Doctor and I know this is a great site.

Helps keep gaijin sane I think, because god knows how many end up in my waiting room with problems associated with the J-lifestyle. Sadly, can`t save them all, don`t ask....
