Ahh, the "in-laws" a phenomenon that knows no cultural or political boundaries I wonder if foreign men married to Japanese wives can join that club--or is it women only...hmm
actually I consider myself lucky with my in-laws they're more preoccupied with the fact that the oldest son isn't married yet rather than the fact that their only daughter marrried a foreigner plus they've had almost 11 years to let it sink in!!

No, no, no I think he's pretty smart..He's got a good job, he doesn't live with his parents, why bother with the hassles of being married. Luckily I can write this last bit without fear of reprisal from the all powerful Mrs. Gajinzilla as she has gone out with our daughter however if she does read this when she gets back I'll deny any knowledge getting back to the brother-n-law....one factor in this is that there are very few single women who want to become the wife of the first son nowadays with all the responsibilites that entails (my wife's family is into familial obligations, gatherings etc BIG TIME----sometime it's a pain in the arse when it gets to be that time of the year for my wife.......OBON and New Year's. she's the only daughter and she helps out her mother serving guests, cleaning up afterwards and so forth while the men & kids just eat, eat, eat & drink Then I have to hear her complaining (legitimate in my opinion) on the drive back home Such is the life of a F*cked Gaijin Husband
