To make things worse, no government can save these hostages once they are taken because if they give into the demands of the militants, it will just send the message "hey, threaten to cut off one of our people's head and we'll do whatever you want" That would just lead to more hostages (and heads) being taken... its only the poor guys getting cut that pay the price. I feel truly sorry for them and their families.

All three of the guys beheaded so far held a long term interest/liking for the culture that killed them. They are killing the very people who can help solve the problems. Its just sick
