West Nile virus case in Japan?

An Okinawan woman just returned from the United States might have contracted West Nile virus while there, health ministry officials said Friday.
The name of the 42-year-old woman is being withheld.
If the infection is confirmed, it will be the first case of West Nile virus in Japan, they said. It is possible, though, that she might have contracted Japanese encephalitis, a disease with similar gene structures, also transmitted by mosquitoes. ...
