The japanese government forces the growing of plants on new buildings in Tokyo to work against the heating of the city. On the roof of the new cinemacomplex Keyakizaka in the middle of Roppongi waits a 1300 squaremeter surprise...a pond...Medaka fishes...trees and bushes...and- a ricefield! The whole biotope weighs 3600 tons- 8% of the whole buildings weight. Tokyo wents for the target to grow biotopes on roofs of 12 million squaremeters until 2015. The penalty while acting against the law lies in 2400 sFr- about 2000 US$ (Neue Zuricher Zeitung NZZ)
