Itabashi ward (in Tokyo) based Kendo association had been under investigation by Japanese Police Agency for abusing 10 years old boy during their summer camp in Chiba pref.
The news report says the boy was beating up with shinai (bamboo sword) by his teachers because he seemed not concentrating on his lessons. After the incident, the boy was hospitalized for 3 days for an examination of PTSD [Posttraumatic Stress Disorder] , and has his left arm swelled out.
However, the teachers told police, "There are more children whom we treated severely."--- more ...

yeah, I have personally seen this kind of thing in Kendojo's here in Japan.
I also saw the head teachers Deshi ram into much younger kids while the teacher was away. This tosser actually broke the 12 year old kid's arm for no reason other than he was a bit wimpy.

After the poor kid was taken to the hospital I made sure the tosser that did it got to visit the same hospital, the very same evening.
Hope he had his Hokken Sho with him.
