A yakitori store employee and a passerby were injured when a gas hot water heater exploded in a Tokyo chicken-on-a-stick restaurant Sunday morning...
The 59-year-old employee of Tebakaramonmo, a yakitori outlet in a residential area of Setagaya-ku, was preparing to open the store at about 10:45 a.m. when he turned on the hot water heater....
The restaurant is located some 700 meters from Sangenjaya Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line.

Thanks for having the good sense to pull out your camera, Taro-sama! I was too ticked off by the traffic jam to think of it.

I was thrown off since all the original stories on the net said it was tonkatsu, but this was what I was referring to when I wrote

In other news... I drove past a completely exploded tonkatsu storefront in Tokyo this afternoon. Quite a sight. Never seen so many damn Tokyo Gas vehicles or police cars in one place before. I haven't found any English links yet, but if I do I'll post it with the headline "Baku-Katsu", promise.
