"U.S. Internet search engine Google Inc. launched the Japanese version of its Google News on Sept. 1. Google News in Japanese presents information culled from approximately 610 news sources, mostly Web sites operated by Japanese newspapers, news agencies, broadcast stations and foreign media that provide news in Japanese. There goes that biz model! - this will escalate in Japan I assume. There is not much content on the net in Japanese in the first place. They dont want to contribut it to the advantage of google.
I think the Japanese blocking a Japanese site is a little riduculous but...
me visiting a New Zealand site has no benefit with me.

The Yomiuir shingbun ius rightly worried that the gaijin filkth will steal precious Japanese business secrets if they open their access portals to the evil freee west and also this they will not sell their newspapers if people red it on the internet.
