That's kind of short list. It's way too short since it left off being headhunted and the Monday Japan Times since other "English Language Japanese Newspapers" don't count for job hunting .

I posted a "teaching job wanted" ad on jobsinjapan.com. I got a few hits off of that and the one I had up on gaijinpot.com, but I got my job through the jij.com posting.

Great job, too! Good pay, great apartment, nice kids, good staff, killer (and cheap) lunches every day, wear whatever I want to work (even shorts!), 7 weeks paid vacation every year.... :D

And, no, they're not looking for any more teachers right now. :P

Need yen soon

Postby ichigo partygirl » Tue Oct 25, 2005 10:41 pm

BUMP!!!!!!!

So i need a part time job teaching (cough) english. Am yet to find anything - this is bad because i am poor.
Have registered with findateacher. net and had a look on gaijin pot, but nothing so far.
Any other recommendations or anyone know of someone/somewhere wanting people part time???

Where are you?
What days/hours are you able to work?
How much/little are you willing to work for?
Are you willing to travel to jobs? Or do you want students to come to you?
What kind of teaching experience do you already have?
Are there any types of lessons you wouldn't consider (e.g. kids, business...)?

Would like to help, but any or all of this info will make suggestions more relevant.

Try Daijob.com and JapanTimes.
Ever thought about hitting up one of those gaijin cabaret clubs in Roppongi?

Yeah.. girls never take that as a compliment.
I take it as a compliment when they say that I should work at a host club... or maybe they think I'm just an air head male slut instead. I don't know.
They have lots of career placement places around. It seems like that's where a lot of people find real careers. Though beware, a lot of times they just put you for a spot that's not really best for you and those career services just want to make their quotas so they a lot of places don't really match you up with the right company. Hell.. I'm saying it from personal experience at least.
