Thieves who stole a whopping 524 million yen from a transport company here on Sunday have abandoned several bags on the side of the road that contained about 50 million yen, police said.

Foreigners blamed for massive heist

I was talking to my cop buddy last night at the community outreach dojo, and he said that the money was dumped when all the dyepacks exploded on the cash inside the sacks.

I guess while the thieves seperating out the 24 million yen that wasn't dyed from the 224 million yen they stole, they most likely found a few micro-keitai "LoJack" location transmitters. Then dumped all the money quickly rather than continue to seperate out the undyed cash while an additional possible hidden location transmitters were broadcasting.
