Environmental group calls for acorns to feed wild bears

The Japan Bear and Forest Association, an environmental group of Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, is collecting acorns for bears that have been spotted in residential areas looking for food.....
Bears have frequently been spotted outside the prefecture this autumn, prompting the association to ask its members in Fukui, Toyama and Shiga prefectures, as well as members of mountaineering clubs, to drop acorns in certain areas.
