I don't think anyone actually drinks American Budweiser except for actors in commercials and people camping at NASCAR tracks.

I guess I speak for myself on this, but I'm a broke college student (and so are most of my friends), and where I go to school, Budweiser is on sale almost every weekend....I can either blow what little money I make from my part-time job on expensive imported beer (we don't have microbreweries here), or put it towards a relatively-cheap Anheiser-Busch brew....More beer for less money is what I shoot for, so I honestly tend to go for the American pisswater.

I drank Foster's when I was in the Air Force. That and Heinekin.

I never had anything but American beer when I went to Japan. (i was only 19, but had a year of university under my belt)

I never realised till then how BAD American beer actually is.

OK the best way to do this if you are broke or in college is to buy a couple of singles of good imported beer.
The taste buds are usually the first victim of alcohol. Then everyone breaks out their own case of Bud and gets sh*t faced.

Goota have that Bud real cold though.

Not really being a huge beer drinker.... give me a good Cabernet any day...

But I went to a party where the only beer served was "Old Milwaulke" (Spelling???) most people went out to the combini to pick up someother beer - actually any other beer.

So perhaps a poll:

Which is worse? Bud or Old Milwaulke?

gets my vote although there used to be a lot of cheaper beers when I was in college. Can remember one day walking to the liquor store with two friends and everyone got a "Tall boy" of cheap beer.
A serious headache hit us all after about 30 minutes of drinking. So bad almost considered going to medical but tries some medicine from "Maui" that worked OK.
Can`t remember the name of the beer but it had wildlife scenes on the can.

Well, Ol Milwaukee is some of the cheapest grog known to man.

But there is worse. MALT LIQUOR. Per liter, its some of the cheapest stuff I've ever had. I mean, in Japan a can of beer was 180 yen at one point.

that was for about 12 ounces. A 40 ounce bottle of St. Ides is $1.69

It tastes bad and can SERIOUSLY mess you up. I mean, I don't think its only alcohol that is messing with your head when you drink it. It's good with a blunt and that's about it.

Give me some homegrown Kuro Raberu ANY day. Not the import here in the states. The stuff in the kombini.

The import stuff is ALMOST like regular american beer.

YUCK.

I mean...American beer does NOT go well with a meal.

Try eating ramen with an American brew. PERISH THE THOUGHT. Or even curry rice. YUCK FOO.

When I was in the Air Force, I was so excited when I found a JUG of Asahi outside the base. I brought it back and carried it around the dorm with me that night. I was TRASHED that night. But had fun.

I found out later a jug was better for a group of people, rather than one man. But that was during my time of excess.

When I was last in the UK there were a heap of stories about the "wife beaters beer" called Stellios something (?) Apparantly it has been blamed for people bashing their wives while drunk.... I don't want to even think about that - I am just reporting what little I heard. Perhaps someone could expand a bit....

find a case and run an experiment tonight to see if I bash the wife when intoxicated. Will send full scientific data in the morning if hangover is not too bad, or in jail.
May have some problems conducting this experiment as my wife drinks faster than I do and will probably pound on me first.
