Thanks for adding the poll!

Can I take credit for coming up with the idea to rank conbinis? After all, I was the first one to rank them, in my reply to the Circle-K bentos post.

It is a toss-up between am-pm and Lawson. There was an awesome Lawson in my old office building with the largest selection of bentos I had ever seen. But am-pm seems to be offering better hot bentos, without preservatives. Disclaimer: I have an am-pm in my own building, but it sucks. I guess I got stuck with a runt version of a real am-pm store.

Booze and Pr0n

Postby kamome » Fri Apr 12, 2002 11:29 am

I sense a new poll: Which conbini pushes the best/most booze and Pr0n? I think Lawson may have the best selection of both, but I can't remember. It's not like I would actually BUY that sort of thing. :biggrin2:

my original favorite was circle K.

In Aomori prefecture, there was only Circle Ks around at first. Then Lawson showed up then Sankusu.

Lawson was just downright awesome.

What about Mini-Stop. They're few and far between (at least in my area) but make fresh sandwiches, chicken, pizza (although microwaved), etc, while you wait - sometimes a bit of a wait but way better than the packaged similar stuff at other Konbinis. Not a lot in the way of good Japanese bentos though.

i honestly think lawson is the best because of their awesome new gourmet onigiri, but (some) am pm features muji stuff, including dried natto. i think this is the coolest thing i have found in a combini really
