I found a very interesting online archive of Japanese newsreels presented by Bunmeisha. I had some nice screen caps, but the FG image upload is busted so you'll just have to go see it for yourself. Requires RealPlayer. Website incorrectly encoded in Shift-JIS so your browser may not display the Japanese font correctly without manually switching your browser to SJIS. In Japanese only (just click on the dates in the upper left to get to the archive screencaps).
