Infared Filter

Postby oyajikun » Mon May 16, 2005 2:49 pm

Can anyone help me find the infamous "Peeping Tom Filter" for the Vodafone V602SH from the Yamada Denki site? My Japanese is in no way good enough to find it for purchase. Link here: http://www.yamada-denkiweb.com/

Thanks for any help.

Sorry cant help there. But A way easier way is getting infrared film and a deep red filter for a normal camera. Two stops down on equalivant iso and hope the person is wet. Beaches are good :p

Plus you can use a long lens.

I really want it to use for taking photo's in dark clubs and bars etc. Although I think I could find use for it at Summer Land as well.

Suuuuuuuuure you do.

You can also get some SLR bodies modified for IR shooting. CMOS chips in particular are very sensitive to IR and have filters over them to block it -- removing the filter essentially turns it into an IR camera. Way cool. I've never done IR photography before but am thinking about picking up an EOS D30 and getting it modified.

And here is an article about converting a D70 to an IR camera:

Seems it is easier than I thought. I wonder if doing the EOS D30 is as simple. Hmmm.
