Kyodo via Japan Today: American woman busted for drugs at Narita after walking 'bowlegged'
A 39-year-old American woman who attempted to smuggle into Japan 930 grams of stimulant drugs hidden between her legs on June 11 was arrested after customs officers at Narita airport spotted her walking as if she was bandylegged, police said Monday. Arriving from Los Angeles, Lisa Toscano had hidden the drugs, worth about 55 million yen at market price, between her legs with a girdle. When customs officers stopped her, Toscano was quoted by the police as admitting that she did it to pay back debts from her lover.
