The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.

Well actually, these "Pimp Watches" are designed by gaijin and sold to the overseas market on an ENGLISH-only website. The following Guardian story sort of misses that point.
Guardian Online wrote:PIMPED OUT
Guardian Unlimited | Monday September 26, 2005
Pimps and pimping have managed to infiltrate every aspect.. There is no escape now from celebrations of the ostentatious, blingin', low-riding lifestyle, which is offered up as heroic and noble, something to aspire to....
....Even Japan isn't pimp-proof. In that country you can buy a Pimp watch on which it appears almost impossible to tell the time, but, hey, it's big and shiny. ...more...

Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

hellosalaryman, how do you like The Equalizer?
I like this one, but wonder if I am smart enough to read it.

Also, how reliable is that website and are better deals available elsewhere (in Tokyo or on the web)?
Thanks

Got no use for any watch that requires a PhD to read the time. Just a plain old timex that will tell me how long 30 minutes is, will do nicely!
