You Tube is a great asset for FG’s isolated from the real world. Amidst the volumes of crap, there are many nuggets of gold to be found and it is a delight when I stumble across one. But there must be thousands of good ones that I’m still missing. So I’ll post a few nuggets that I’ve found, and hope you’ll do the same. Of course, one man’s meat is another man’s poison, so please give a précis of the content so we can choose what to click and what not to click.

OK, this one is from the “Dinner for five” series. It’s part 1 of 3, starring Rob Zombie, Bruce Campbell, Roger Corman, Faizon Love and Jon Favreau. Basically, its just these 5 people shooting the shit over dinner. Very entertaining if you are into movies. There are many other clips from the same series on You Tube with different celebrities which you can find by searching “Dinner for five”.

The second one I’ll post is from the Intercontinental Poker Championship, and it’s a showdown between Tony G and Ralph Perry. I knew Tony G back in the day when he was a con-artist in Melbourne before he started playing cards, and he was an arsehole back then too. I’ll give a little background by letting you know that Tony G is an immigrant from Lithuania and Ralph Perry is an immigrant from Russia. There is not much love lost between Lithuanians and Russians. Enjoy. N.B. The main commentator is Mr. Kotter.

Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

The British quiz show QI, hosted by Stephen Fry, is into its fifth season now and there are quite a few clips on YouTube. It passes the time with a lot of useless trivia and isn't really a quiz show at all.

Here's a Christmas edition:

There are clips from all the series. This YouTube user has uploaded most of the current season.

From Australia's ABC comedy show - "The Late Show" - (1992-1993)

"The Japanese Global Practical Joke"

They told us:

- They eat their fish raw
- The take their shoes off inside even a restaurant
- And sit on the floor
- And use two sticks to eat with instead of cutlery
- And more . . .

Most westerners have never been to Japan and there's always that niggling doubt that maybe all of the above may not be true . . .

On the other hand, this version of traffic direction dancing is common the world over.

Singapore Media Authority

Postby Kuang_Grade » Wed Nov 28, 2007 3:20 am

Singapore's Orwellian sounding Media Development Authority throws down to earn some street cred. I haven't decided if its brilliant because it got the word out so far that I even heard about it or retarded because the people who would actually be doing business with them will just see it as utter foolishness. I imagine the Economist magazine would probably disagree with their claims of media openness....yeah, "we classify media to give you a choice"....right.

"General knowledge" seems to be an oxymoron, but this woman was at least smart enough to know her limitations, and that got her the cash!

A rather well done viral campaign for Norton anti-virus software. A little long but does alot of fan service to the otaku community...Meganekko, maids, henshin 70's TV show style down cold...10 years old kids strangling a virus putty with a mouse cord. Good Times!

This is very old, but I was reminded of it on my last visit to Australia a few weeks ago. The place in the video is about 10 minutes drive from my where my cousins live and I used to hear this bird all the time as a youngster. A really amazing bird. Enjoy.

[yt]VjE0Kdfos4Y[/yt]

Edit, that's strange. The video is no longer available? Yes it is, just go to youtube and punch in the keywords 'Attenborough' and 'Lyre Bird'.

I hadn't seen it yet, I saw his wife/girlfriend's, but this one was new to me. Harrison Ford's bit caused me to actually "LOL".
