Anyone know any bizarre or interesting gaijin death stories? Bit sick I know.......

The Lucy Blackmun episode is probably the most bizarre/sad story I know. That and all the stories you hear of gaijin getting run over while riding their bicycles on the street.

Whats messed up is, that Isemtony's family was enroute to visit him when this happened.

My buddy Mark Modde was the guest that posted that message. It was odd because I IMd him and we were talking and he was all bummed out because his friend died from falling down the stairs. And I was like *!* remembering that I had read about it on here.

A british English Teacher in Osaka got drunk and went roof jumping with a few of his buddies.. Well, in the midst of their Supermanly activities, he fell to his death from I think it was a 6 story complex...this happened last year.

I cannot believe a freak like that can be teaching.. anywhere. I'd hate to think if he turned the self-harm to others-harm...

I have no sympathy for people like that.. none at all. I don't give a shit if you get a good feeling or normalcy from hurting yourself.

If you really are that bad, suicide might be a better option.

Aaaah! I don't get the self-harming mindset! Horrible stuff.

When I was in New Zealand a year ago, I was at a the hotel dining room desk and I saw the young (fat) woman in her early 20s serving me behind it had obvious self-harm fresh cuts on her wrists.

I think she was also ever-so-subtlety making sure I saw them too.

Why don't these self-harmers just do the whole actual/social suicide-by-installment of eating and obesity like other emotionally fucked people?:idea:

Hey, not fair. I went through a hard time, and ended up cutting myself...it may seem like a ploy for attention, but when everyone (including my mother, btw) was pretending that I didn't exist, and I was bothering them by breathing the same air, I would have done anything to get someone to PAY ATTENTION to me and maybe wonder what might be wrong, rather than shove me out of their way/throw shit at me/beat me up/tell me what a "fucking waste of skin" I was, etc. etc...

Ouch. Ok, ok, the Internet is all about "attention getting".
However, self-harm is more understandable when you're young---let's say a self-professed 16 year old ---- rather than JET teachers who are supposed to be responsible for their students.

I agree that these people shouldn't be teachers, and there should be some kind of psychological testing, as they may send the message to otherwise normal kids that destructive behavior is just fine.

On the other hand, according to some theories it may be helpful that children are exposed to it...

Yeah, I'm interested in psych, you can tell :P

And yeah, just watch the generalizations about this stuff...it can be a sensitive issue for some people
