A limited express Thunderbird hit a car on a level crossing in Kanazawa on Sunday morning. The car was driven around 400 metres along the track by the collision. The driver of the car was killed and a passenger on the express was also injured. The train driver says that he applied the emergency brakes as soon as he saw that the car was on the tracks but there wasn't enough time to come to a stop.
