Home Delivery Booze - Japan only

Postby GomiGirl » Sun Jul 10, 2011 12:34 am

Need some wine or beer delivered? For yourself or sent as a gift - personal or corporate.

Try these websites. Set up and managed by a friend of mine. Still a relatively new business and the guys are bootstrapping so the sites are only new but all operational. Delivery anywhere in Japan by Takkyubin. The prices are competitive as they are getting the stock directly rather than going through many distributors.

I dunno about other countries, but was doing this in Canada in the early '90s, as in ordering for home delivery. There were general delivery services that picked up food from any restaurant and brought it to your home, and they also would hit the liquor store for you on the way (or just do a booze run if that's what the client wanted).

Most restaurants will deliver here and I tend to use Demae-can for food. It is great as you put in your address and it shows all the places that deliver to you and puts up their on-line menu. I think that site has laundry and grocery services too but we mainly use it for home delivered pizza or indian.

The local booze shops will deliver too but they mainly have ordinary Japanese beer, sho-chu, whiskey etc.

The stuff on my friends site are all imports - forgeign beer, good wines etc.

I think he would do well to use some PNG images with transparency in his beer vending machine. Would make the site look quite a lot better IMO. (ie The beer bottles wouldn't have those white borders around them.)
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Vending machines are a must!
