Searching for the perfect Japanese employee

Postby Cyka UchuuJin » Tue Sep 09, 2014 5:31 pm

Yes my fucked brethren, I have been ridiculously absent. I blame being chained to a desk in Legoland and hit repeatedly with the hammer of micromanagement.

I am still on the search for a country manager for my company, and need to put a job notice out. Am assuming that there is some kind of electronic forum for doing such a thing, if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'll be grateful. And maybe can buy you a drink or something.

who???

I refer to his post:

Papa-Lazarou wrote:Im a consultant who works in Japan for a couple of months a year. I have a recurring problem whatever company i work with: IE, nobody will do anything, ever, no matter what.

why is this?

I might ask them to change the admin username on a firewall, and they will spend 3 hours explaining why they cant do it (not common in Japan, can't be done on CISCO firewalls, manager isn't here to approve, etc)

why, why, can't they fucking do anything, ever??

and why does it need 15 people to manage 1 firewall?

So, I was joking, kind of, but not completely, since you asked for the "perfect" Japanese employee. "Perfect" is difficult to define. Some may think that is a person who takes initiative, others may consider it a person maintaining the "Wa" in the office (which may imply a more passive attitude).
