If we were comparing dive bars, I'd totally agree. I was more thinking restrooms at train stations, parks, shopping outlets and such. The kicker that I forgot to mention...though it's definitely improved recently...but many places still don't have handsoap or paper towels/dryers here.

Also fast food restaurants, airports, etc. are better. Shopping malls and public parks are a toss up. Trains stations? Get the fuck out of here.

I think you haven't been back to the states enough recently, it's gotten much better...at least on the west coast. (probably due to all the health inspections and such)

I go back at least once a year. It's the same bullshit. Haven't been to the West Coast in awhile. I have been through West Coast airports. They're still dirty.

When? The international terminal of LAX is brand spankin' new dude, soooo much more cleaner than Narita or Haneda...

Never go through LAX. Besides one example proves nothing. NYC area airports are a fucking nightmare.
