I haven't read a bad review of their recent shows. Here's one that really seems to think it is all worthwhile:

Iggy, Stooges explode back in raucous homecoming

It took five minutes for the years to slip away. Twenty minutes for the Detroit rock crowd to descend into mayhem. And just an hour for the Stooges to deposit one of the best, most explosive rock shows the area has seen in a long, long time.

It is nearly impossible to overstate the importance of the Stooges to rock'n'roll. The entire punk movement from the Ramones (my favorite band) and Sex Pistols on (great as they are) are really just imitations (except for the Clash).

I am considering going, however, are ticket availible and what will the scene be like. Iggy still slugs it out and if the stooges are there this could be a unique chance to seek and destroy...

Heh heh! the SATAN SATAN part is just hilarious. I've seen the Butthole Surfers at least two times. I heart them so much! Rob Pongi likes 'em too.

Wish I was there!

Girls in the balcony were screaming and Iggy kept smiling and waving, assuring everyone "We love you. We're going to fuck you." At one point Iggy invited everyone up onstage, then jumped into the middle of the mass and started a pit in front of the drummer.
