Ok, ok, it's not quite like the movie "Predator" where the object-to-camoflage has an all-in-one system that transmits light from the back of the suit to the front.
However, this University of Tokyo website shows "Active camouflage -- tricks of the light"
The TODAI site has MPEGs of their optical camouflage technology that uses retroreflectors a to capture the visual behind an object and LCDs paint it on the front.
